Snowed Under

The folks in these photos are more than snowed in, they are snowed under. It appears to be 20 feet of snow or more. While it must be frustrating for the people who live in these cold locals it certainly does make for some gorgeous and interesting pictures.

The 2010 Lemon Festival of Menton

Each year, the French town of Menton hosts an event unique in the world, La Fete de Citron, or the Lemon Festival.
This year’s 77th edition of the Menton Lemon Festival takes place between February 12 and March 3 and has the theme “Menton does cinema”. The second most important festival on the French Riviera, after the Carnival of Nice and just before the Formula 1 Grand Prix of Monaco, The Lemon Festival draws in a crowd of over 230,000 people.
The lemons grown in the Menton area are favored by the world’s star chefs, for their distinct flavor and superior sugar content. The French town enjoys a sub-tropical climate, sheltered by a nearby mountain chain.
Back in the 1930s, locals used to celebrate by parading a few carts loaded wit orange and lemon trees, but throughout the years, the festivities turned into an international carnival. Over 300 professionals work on arranging around 145 tons of citrus fruits as giant sculptures.

Creative Auto Interiors

There are some hot new interiors making the automobile scene. Apparently anything goes including wild designs and even wilder colors. Reds, pinks, orange, and fuchsia are all in along with leather and specialty vinyl. I like it and think it will put some of the fun back in driving.

Unbelievable height of the Cardboard Tower

Filing Cabinet Skyscraper: The seven-story tall sculpture is the creation of artist Yates. What makes this so unique and interesting is the fact that this 65- foot tall skyscraper is made entirely of filing cabinets. Officially the largest filing cabinet in the world, this 65 ft tall office cabinet actually serves a purpose, of sorts. It contains a dismantled sports car, the parts organized, labeled and filed in the drawers, heaviest to lightest.
