A Frozen River

The amount of abstract art can be obtained from the frozen Mississippi river is truly amazing. There are sheets of frozen water as clear as any window and chunks of ice in every shape imaginable. A frozen river can provide years of inspiration to sculptors and artists alike. A frozen river is beautiful is a beautiful sight to behold whether up close and personal or from afar. So You Think You Have Big Cojones?

At approximately 6:30 on bright and sunny morning, adrenaline junkie Jonathan Trappe attached 55 balloons filled with helium to a steel cased office chair and soared to nearly 15,000 feet. It became his dream to break free from his desk and take to the skies after watching the movie UP. He managed to reach a height of some 14,783 feet while sitting in an office chair. He had to obtain an FAA license to fly helium balloons. Mr. Trappe rose in the sky at a rate of 521 feet per minute. Now, after the flight he still sits in the same chair at work. And you thought you had big cojones.

It’s Not a Mirage, It’s a "Phantom"

A modest car mechanician from Kazakhstan got one of the most expensive and prestigious cars in the world - the Rolls-Royce Phantom.
The guy told that this idea came to him a few years ago, when sitting in the library, he saw photos of this supercar in a car magazine.
Spending a total of 3 thousand dollars, the master turned an old Mercedes in the legendary vehicle.

Chandeliers Made from Prescription Spectacles

Tuart Haygarth uses thousands of spectacles and eyeglass lenses to create impressive-looking chandeliers.
The tiered chandelier made my Haygarth is called Spectacle and is made out of 1,020 spectacles attached to an acrylic frame. The artist believes using spectacles, tools once used for seeing, draws an analogy between their old purpose and the new one.
Optical is another chandelier by Stuart Haygarth, made from 4,500 spectacle lenses hanging on a monofilament line.

Chinese Failed Demolition Creates the Leaning Tower of Liuzhou!

A 22-storey residential building had to be destroyed to make way for new real estate projects but due to technical reasons, the demolition failed. It happened on December 30 in Liuzhou, China.
The blast broke the building into two parts but only one collapsed while the other one remained standing… but leaning to one side!
