Glass House

Imagine that you can lie in the bed watching the night skies.
Or you can have breakfast inside your house enjoying the ocean view.
The only problem is that everybody can see you from outside.
But I think there will be an upgraded model with mirror walls from outside.
Anyway it's a very good concept house by Carlo Santambrogio and Ennio Arosio.

The World's Most Pathetic Computer Thief (6 pic + 1 Vidoe)

On Friday, December 18 some guy robbed small computer store. But interesting is how he did it.
He crashed his car into the store and then grabbed all the store displays.
But he didn't bother to unplug any cords, so he had to struggle to get the monitors free.
Then he loaded everything in the back of his truck and drove away.
All of this was caught on surveillance video (watch it in video).
He stole Apple equipment for around $6,000, but the damage to the building is probably around $10,000, says the owner.

Century Egg

Known also as preserved egg, hundred-year egg, thousand-year egg or thousand-year-old egg, the Century Egg is a Chinese delicacy used in many traditional dishes. Fresh duck, chicken or quail eggs become Century Eggs after weeks, sometimes months of preservation in a mixture of clay, ash, lime, salt and rice. The process of “cooking” Century Eggs is believed to date back 600 years, when someone apparently found some old eggs preserved in a pool of slaked lime. Upon tasting them, he decided to produce some more, but this time with some added salt.
After the preservation is complete, the hull mixture and egg shell are removed to reveal the now dark-brown egg-white and a dark-green, creamy and pungent yolk. It’s the alkaline that raises the ph of the egg from 9 to 12 or more and gives it a strong smell of ammonia and sulfur.
Century Eggs are consumed either raw, or as ingredients in other Chinese foods. There are those who associate them with smelly cheese, pungent but really delicious. Sadly there are others (myself included) who just can’t get past the disgusting colors and smell.

The latest Japanese Sports Car

This "Maniwa" was produced not by a car company, but by a small furniture factory Sada.
The sports car has three wheels and three seats. The car was built by hand and consists almost entirely of wooden parts, even its rims are made of wood. The car can reach 80 km/h.
But the main advantage of "Maniwa," is its design without a doubt.
The interest in the Japanese wooden design is huge, Sada is already taking plenty of orders for this wooden sports car, demanding for their services a little less than 44 thousand dollars.
And now, let’s look at the photos.

A Truly Radio-Active Vehicle

It’s amazing what a passion for cars and amateur radios can create.
Scott’s 1985 Plymouth Colt can simply be described as HAM radio heaven. He has mounted HAM radios, police scanners and other video devices all throughout his vehicle and it’s really quite amazing how he can still find his way around them when he just needs to drive it.
the HAM radio enthusiast says it’s amazing what you can listen to when you’re inside his Radio Active Colt, but I fail to see how you can actually listen to anything when all those things are turned on. According to one of the photos I found the 1985 Colt sells for just $500 while the HAM equipment is worth $25,000.

Featuring a fiber-optics stars cape ceiling that shows galactic clouds and comets passing every few minutes, air pocket doors and faux finished walls complete with backlit panels, the Star gate Atlantis home-theater looks like it came right off the filming set. The circular screen is a perfect replica of the star gate and has a 10-foot diagonal.
Yarmuth equipped his futuristic screening room with two Sony mega changers able to accommodate 800 DVDs, Atlantic’s THX speakers’ series, two Polk Audio in-wall subwoofers and a JVC light amplifier for HD imagery. Oh, and the air pocket doors are triggered by motion sensors.

Black Friday Madness

Black Friday is the Friday following Thanksgiving Day in the United States, which is the beginning of the traditional Christmas shopping season with discounts on some “hard-to-find” products. All this shopping is numerous hours of waiting in lines, sometimes the whole night in order to get in the store the first at its opening.
Now let’s look at this shopping madness :)

21st Century Love Story!

Aaron and Rosie never met in real life, it is not surprising, he is a photographer and lives in the USA, and she is also a photographer, but lives in the UK.
They were never in the same room, but it turned out that Flickr and high technology united these two people.
Every Sunday Rosie took a photograph in Britain and sent it to Aaron, who in turn took a snapshot in the U.S. and combined the two photos, as if there was no distance between them.
Thousands of people closely watched their love story, the photo set was perfect, and it all ended up very great too. After nine and a half months, they met on Valentine's Day.

Amazing Art on Styrofoam Cups (11 pics + 1 video)

We have an amazing artwork created by artist Cheeming Boey who uses styrofoam cups to express his creativity. Each of his artwork takes hours to several months to complete. This artwork on Styrofoam cups is created using a sharpie pen and sells for a few hundred dollars each. What started as a hobby way back in 2006 has made him a styrofoam cup artist. What makes these interesting is the surface; the artist has to draw on a curved surface.
Don't miss to check out the rest of Boey's collection of cup artwork on his Flickr page.

Ever Dream This Man?

In January 2006 in New York, the patient of a well-known psychiatrist draws the face of a man that has been repeatedly appearing in her dreams.
In more than one occasion that man has given her advice on her private life. The woman swears she has never met the man in her life.
That portrait lies forgotten on the psychiatrist's desk for a few days until one day another patient recognizes that face and says that the man has often visited him in his dreams.
He also claims he has never seen that man in his waking life.
The psychiatrist decides to send the portrait to some of his colleagues that have patients with recurrent dreams.
Within a few months, four patients recognize the man as a frequent presence in their own dreams.
All the patients refer to him as THIS MAN.
From January 2006 until today, at least 2000 people have claimed they have seen this man in their dreams, in many cities all over the world: Los Angeles, Berlin, San Paulo, Tehran, Beijing, Rome, Barcelona, Stockholm, Paris, New Delhi, Moscow etc.
At the moment there is no ascertained relation or common trait among the people that have dreamed of seeing this man. Moreover, no living man has ever been recognized as resembling the man of the portrait by the people who have seen this man in their dreams.
Several theories have been developed to explain the mysteriously recurring presence of this man in the dreams of different people who are not related in any way.
The following theories are the ones that elicit the greatest interest among the dreamers themselves.
ARCHETYPE THEORY
According to Jung's psychoanalytic theory, this man is an archetypal image belonging to the collective unconscious that can surface in times of hardship (emotional development, dramatic changes in our lives, stressful circumstances etc.) in particularly sensitive subjects.
RELIGIOUS THEORY
According to this theory this man is the image of the Creator, that is to say one of the forms in which God manifests himself today.
This is the reason why his indications and the words he utters during the dreams should be decidedly followed by the dreamers.
DREAM SURFER THEORY
It is the most interesting theory and the one that has the greatest implications, but it has also the lowest scientific credibility.
According to this theory this man is a real person, who can enter people's dreams by means of specific psychological skills.
Some believe that in real life this man looks like the man in the dreams.
Others think that the man in the dreams looks completely different from his real life counterpart.
Some people seem to believe that behind this man there is a mental conditioning plan developed by a major corporation.

People Who Like Thrills

There’s a theme park in the Australian city of Darwin where you can swim with huge crocodiles. The attraction is called ‘Cage of death’.
Of course, people who long to try this attraction are put in a glass box, but still, the pictures give shivers, especially when you see the size of a crocodile.
Would you like to experience something similar? ;)

A Wish Tree is an individual tree, usually distinguished by species, position or appearance, which is used as an object of wishes and offerings.
Such trees are identified as possessing a special religious or spiritual value.

The High Force Waterfall has a coin only wish tree in the grounds of the waterfall.

Newlyweds Win £1,500 Compensation

Almost every woman dreams about her wedding day and beautiful wedding album. Sylvia Day was not an exception, but she was totally disappointed and upset when she received her wedding photos. And if you look at these photos, you’ll understand why. It seems that photographer made everything wrong - heads are chopped off, angles are askew and in many photos it’s hard to spot the bride at all. Even the names on the album were misspelled. The couple was so disappointed that they sued the photographer, Gareth Bowers, for damages. And last week a judge in the county court in Pontefract, West Yorkshire, said that Bower’s service was 'woefully inadequate' and ordered him to reimburse the couple £500 and pay £450 damages, £170 court fees and £100 compensation.

The Discovery of "Diamond Shipwreck"

Five centuries ago Portuguese trading vessel loaded with a fortune in gold and ivory was on the way to India, but wrecked off a beach laden with diamonds.
Last year it was discovered in the beach sands of diamond-mining area on Namibia's southern coast.
Mining at the site was immediately halted, and archaeologists came to begin excavations.
Copper ingots were among the first signs of the wreck discovered and later archaeologists would find 22 tons of these ingots beneath the sand, as well as cannon and swords, ivory and astrolabes, muskets and chain mail - thousands of artifacts in all.
And of course gold: more than 2,000 different heavy coins - mainly Spanish excelentes, but also a smattering of Venetian, Moorish, French, and other coinage, as well as exquisite Portugueses with the coat of arms of King João III. It will take years to study the wealth of material gleaned from the Diamond Shipwreck, as it has come to be called.

One Groom and Four Brides

A South African man has married four women at the same time. His name is Milton Mhbele, he is 44 and he is a municipal manager in Indaka. South African laws recognize polygamous marriages which in fact are common over there, but simultaneous weddings are rare.
He has already been married to Thobile Vilakazi for 12 years and has 11 children. On September 26, he married Thobile a second time and also married three new wives: Happiness Mdlolo (24), Zanele Langa (24) and Smangele Cele (23). The women all wore white dresses and each of them received a ring and a kiss from the groom.
Apparently, the wives will live separately, with their husband rotating between them.
He said he saved money for combining the ceremonies and he added: "I don't know what the future holds for me with them, but I am very excited about this, not just because it hasn't been done before, but because I believe in it."
Sometimes, it’s really hard to understand other cultures…

The Violent Confrontation of a Mule and a Cougar

This story is just unbelievable, it's a bit old but we never put it on the site and not everyone knows it.
Here is what happened: a couple living in Montana were outside with a mule and 2 dogs. He with a gun (he is a hunter), she with a camera. A cougar that was nearby decided that he would have a dog for dinner.
The hunter saw the animal so he wanted to shoot in the air to scare the beast but did not even have timeto do that - the cougar was already approaching a dog. Here is the incredible part of the story: the mule snatched the cougar up by the tail and started whirling him around banging its head on the ground repeatedly. Then the mule dropped it on the ground, stomped on it and held it by the throat. The mule got down on his knees and began to bite the creature a dozen times. The poor animal could not do anything ...
The hunter did not even need to shoot and the woman was able to take these 4 exceptional pictures. Conclusion, if you need an animal to protect you, think about the mules, they are very effective ))
